1. Close the water supply valves under the lavatory
sink.
2. Open the valves to drain the rest of the
water.
3. Block the sink drain with the stopper or rag to keep
small faucet parts from falling down.
4. Remove the faucet handle end-cap (RP80044). If the end
cap O-ring (RP60029) comes off in the process, it’s OK, just hang on to it for reassembly.
5. Unscrew the handles set screw with a 2.5mm or
3/32nd inch hex wrench. Do not remove the screw completely, just loosen it enough the remove the
handle.
6. Pull the handle (RP13049) straight up and off the
handle’s mounting post connector (RP50030).
7. Unscrew the connector with a Phillips tip screwdriver.
8. Remove the friction washer (RP64053) by
hand.
9. Loosen the handle seat setscrew (RP50002) with your hex
wrench.
10.
Lift the handle seat (RP17023) off of
its mounting.
11.
Unscrew the Pegasus Faucet Cartridge
retaining nut (RP70001) with a pliers.
12.
Lift the cartridge out of the faucet
body with your pliers.
13.
Wipe the inside of the faucet clean
with a paper towel.
14.
Apply a dab of plumbers silicone grease
to the outside of the faucet cartridge and the inside of the valve body.
15.
Install the cold Pegasus Faucet
Cartridge (RP20014), and then the hot Pegasus faucet cartridge (RP20013) on the left side of the
faucet.
16.
Reinstall the cartridge retaining nut
on both cartridges. You can turn the water back on at this point to make sure there are no leaks if you like,
otherwise wait until the handle are fully installed.
17.
Screw on the handle mounting
posts.
18.
Reset the handle seats and tighten
their set screws.
19.
Place the friction rings on top of the
handle seats carefully.

Slide each Pegasus Exhibit faucet
handle on their mounting posts.

position and tighten each handle set screw.

O-rings.

Turn the water back on if you have not
already done so.
24.
Inspect the faucet for leaks and
drips.
Troubleshooting your Pegasus Exhibit
Widespread Faucet
My Pegasus Exhibit faucet handles won’t
stop, they just keep turning.
Tighten the handle
setscrew. If that does not work, you will probably need to replace the Pegasus faucet
cartridge.
My Pegasus faucet is dripping from the
spout.
Replace both faucet
cartridges at the same time.
My Pegasus Exhibit faucet makes a squeaking
noise when I turn it off and on.
You will need to replace
the faucet cartridge. Some people have taken the cartridges apart and applied plumbers silicone grease. This is
very difficult and does not always work.
There is little to no water flowing out of
my Pegasus Exhibit faucet spout.
Remove and clean the
faucet aerator (RP30055). Be careful not to lose any parts, and reassemble in the exact
order.
When I turn my Pegasus Exhibit faucet off
the whole valve turns with the handle.
Tighten the valve’s mounting nut (RP56003) and Locking screws
(RP50004).
